The Oven is a BCU-dependent Crafting station that allows the player to improve their diet greatly by making an assortment of health/stamina-boosting meals available.

Being able to preserve perishable Fruits and Vegetables also enables the player to keep fed more easily on longer journeys away from home.

Interface

Cook tab will show the recipes available, depending on what equipment you've added to the Oven.

If you have all three pots and pans there will be a tab for each type:

• Fry recipes for Fried Cooked Meals
• Boil recipes for Boiled Cooked Meals
• Bake recipes for Baked Cooked Meals

Equipment tab has three (3) slots available for the current pans available to craft.

• Frying Pan
• Boiling Pan
• Baking Pan

The upgrade tab shows what Crafting materials and the Power and Mass requirements that are needed for each upgrade available.

Cooking Equipment

Frying Pan

Craft the Frying Pan inside the Workbench craft tab.

Equipping the Frying Pan in the Oven will open up recipes for fried foods that combine basic meats, vegetables and Eggs.

Boiling Pan

Craft the Boiling Pan inside the Workbench craft tab.

Equipping the Boiling Pan in the Oven will open up recipes for boiled foods that combine ingredients with Clean Water.

This is also the only way to prepare non-perishable jams or chutneys.

• Note: If the player cancels a boiling dish, the purified water will be returned into the source canteen (provided it is empty and the player is still carrying it).

Baking Pan

Craft the Baking Pan inside the Workbench craft tab.

Equipping the Baking Pan in the Oven will open up recipes for baked foods that combine high quality ingredients and other dishes into elaborate cooked meals that offer the greatest benefits to the player's max health/stamina.

Crafting

Craft a Oven inside the BCU craft tab.

Upgrades

The Oven has two (2) upgrades available.

Power Efficiency

Each upgrade reduces the power consumption by 15%, for a total of 30% decrease.

Without any upgrades, the oven allows the player to prepare meals depending on the available utensils at a certain power cost.
