The mining drill is a BCU-dependent device crafted at the BCU. It allows the player to mine for mineral water and certain kinds of ore within or near their own base.

Upgrades

Without any upgrades, the mining drill allows the player to extract individual bits of ore or freshwater at a certain speed and power cost per second. The following two upgrades are available:

Power Efficiency	Reduces the power consumption of the mining drill permanently by 25%.
Extraction Speed	Accelerates the extraction speed of the mining drill permanently by 20%.

• Before its subsequent change of function and name, the mining drill was originally known as the wellhead and only served to drill for freshwater.
