Medicine and Chemistry is an essential part of a player's prolonged Survival by allowing them to regenerate and protect their health and stamina as well as defend themselves against extreme seasons and hostile weather or even animals like bees.
Crafting
Most Medicine and Chemestry items and Materials are crafted in your player's Inventory Screen using
Inventory Crafting in the 
Medicinal tab
or inside the:
Looting
Most basic ingredients can be obtained from gathering Medicinal Herbs, hunting animals, or by fishing.
Explore and open Loot Containers, the Medical Container and Specialty Containers are you best choice here.
If you are well equipped, you can also raid Hunter base Hunter Base Loot or Hunter Backpacks.
